(2) The second and the third couple of thorns (ಮಾನಾಪಮಾನ and ಸ್ವಾದ ರುಚಿ) which are dual, affect the ears and the tongue and are physiological in character. (3) The fourth triad of thorns (ಹೆಣ್ಣು, ಹೊನ್ನು, ಮಣ್ಣು) affect the eye and are social in character. (0) ಮರೆತಿರಲಾರೆನು cf. 1 In this connection we may also note two songs of Purandar- dās. (i) ಜಂಗಮರು ನಾವು ಜಗದೊಳು and (ii) ಶಿವದರುಶನ ನಮಗಾಯಿತು ಕೇಳೆ, wherein he is speaking of him- self as a ಜ೦ಗಮ and as a devotee of 5, which might have led the present poet to institute a comparison between him and his own teacher Basava. (as) 3) ಅನ್ಯಾಯ:- Wrong, ತಪ್ಪು, ಅಪರಾಧ. ತೊರೆದು ಜೀವಿಸಬಹುದೆ ಹರಿ ನಿನ್ನ ಚರಣ | ಒಪ್ಪಿಸಿ ಕೊಟ್ಟಿ :- Handed me over 550 ಕನಕದಾಸ ಇಂದುಶಂಕರಾ :- Another reading is ಇಂದುಶೇಖರಾ (ಚಂದ್ರಮೌಳ), ಭಕ್ತಹರಳ ದೋಷಪರಿಹಾರಾ :- Three meanings - (1) Oh God! make your dia- mond devotee-pure remove his sins. (2) Oh God! Thy devotees ! Make us pure, remove our the Diamond of sins. (3) Thou art the remover of the sins of those who are the dia- monds-(foremost) among the devotees. Note: The poem seems to be composed by a disciple of Doddapeti Basava. He finds a similarity between Purandar- das and his own spiritual teacher Basava. to Fate. 448 ನ್ಯಾಯ...... ಒಪ್ಪಿತು ದೇವಾ ! All right and wrong, merit and demerit belong to you, Oh my spiritual Teacher. ಎನ್ನ ಮಾಯಾ ... ಸಮಯಕ್ಕೆ, cf, “ ನಿನ್ನ ಮಾಯಾ ನಿನಗೇನ ಮಾಡತದ ? “ನಿನ್ನ ಅಳಲಿಕ್ಕೆ ಹಚ್ಚತದ ! ' - ಶ್ರೀ ಭಾವುಸಾಹೇಬ ಮಹಾರಾಜ, ಧ್ಯಾನ ಮಾಡೆಂದು ತಿಳಿಸಿ ಹೇಳಿದಿ:-Told me to meditate on God. cf. Our Father, which art in Heaven Hallowed be Thy Name. Lead us not into temptation, But deliver us from evil: For Thine is the kingdom, And the power and the glory for ever!
